Join fellow herbalists, growers, medicine makers, and plant lovers from across the Colorado Front Range for a relaxed community gathering at Earthstar Farm!
Bring seeds, plant starts, dried herbs, tinctures, salves, teas, or other herbal goodies to swap, plus a dish to share at our community potluck.
We'll connect, share herbal wisdom, and dream together about the future of herbalism and herbal cooperatives in our region.

A hands-on Hugelkultur & Permaculture Workshop

Earthstar Farms and our experienced garden educators invite you to join us for a hands-on workshop exploring how we can design and build gardens with Colorado’s climate, soil, and water needs in mind.
Come spend a day getting your hands in the dirt as we explore hugelkultur, permaculture, soil building, and water-wise gardening, and put it all into practice by building a new garden bed together.
Our instructors bring years of hands-on experience designing, growing, and caring for gardens in Colorado:
Amanda Rose: Manager of Earthstar Farms
Manager at Earthstar Farms, an organic herbal co-op encompassing three herb farms and 150 acres of wild Colorado mountain land.

Together, Amanda and Madeline will guide you through transforming Colorado’s hard clay and rocky soil into a thriving growing space. We'll explore how readily available materials can become the foundation for healthy soil, moisture retention, and a more resilient garden.
This is a learn by doing workshop. We’ll talk about the principles behind what we’re creating, but most of our time will be spent actually building. We’ll dig, lift, shovel, haul, layer, laugh, sweat, and build alongside one another.
You’ll leave with practical knowledge you can bring home to your own garden, a deeper understanding of how to work with Colorado’s unique climate and soil, and the satisfaction of knowing you helped create something living that will continue to grow long after the workshop is over.
